I have still been struggling to get shots of moving subjects like the Cheetahs , getting used to the new 550D
User error the controls are different the the 40D
Managed one I'm happy with today
550D 100-400 L

320 at 5.6 ISO 1000
Also saw the baby Panda she's nearly fully grown now

High ISO on #1, is that why background looks a little odd? Or should I be logging off n going to bed

Panda shots are cute but look a tiny bit oof, OK, I'm off to bed!!

I did a bit of cloning in the first shot (I mucked up the composion) to add a bit of background to the left
here is the origanal shot
I was shooting through glass into the sun (although it was cloudy)

You are right the Panda shots are not sharp should have used a higher shutter speed there was not much light though it was raining
