Chipping Lenses

I currently have a Canon 40D and am thinking of purchasing a Canon 7D. Will it be necessary for me to re- chip my current range of lenses three of which are Canons and one Sigma.?

The Canons no but depends on what lens the sigma is. If it's fairly old then it may need a rechip, but if it works on your 40D chances are it won't.

All Canon ef and efs lenses will be fine. The sigma if it works on the 40d should also be fine
