Tried something for cover of Christmas Card.

I love this idea but maybe a little harsh on the eye. Less contrast or saturation?

I'm not overly bothered about the colours/harsh nature of it as you said this would work really well on a Christmas card and it would really stand out well

Very nice indeed and it would make a nice addition to a christmas card.

IMO, you could feather the edge slightly more, to erase the hard edge.
