Well, we're almost there, soon trees will be filling every window and joyous music filling our ears....Gary Glitter etc!:bonk::bonk:and I fancy making my own cards this year. Any tips anyone, ideas as to the best way to go about this,is it cheaper to get it printed commercially?

I want to run off about 200 cards, and I'm sure there must be templates etc somewhere, but where?

Thanks, George.

for 200 i would thing you would be better to get them printed.

Speak to LeeP and ask what kind of deal he can do for you :D

Thanks, Toothie, will follow that up.

As Ruth said, you may be better off printing out 200 piccies then getting a card blank - you'd need double fold or gatefold with an aperture from here: Craft Creations link

then you would have proper handcrafted cards :D

That's what I have done in the past when I used to make handmade cards

Just had some Christmas cards done for my mother with a photo of her dog in a festive border and her text on the inside.

Vistaprint did them. Looked very nice they did.

PsiFox, did you provide the photos printed or did you give them a jpeg?

Kelack, thanks, I'll look at the linkey.

PsiFox , can you take a pic of the card, does it print vista print anywhere?

I uploaded the pic through their on line design thingy which allows you to select borders, add text etc.

Already gone to my mother but there is no mention of vistaprint unless it's on the back (can't remember) like most manufacturers do

Thanks everybody for the input.

not sure about how expensive it is for bulk but there is a service called "moo" thats linked to flickr that will print up stuff in a variety of formats.
I think you can use it stand alone as well - www.moo.com
