Chromakey backdrops - silly question

You and me both , I've been looking for a while now . The easiest way to I have found so far is to use a program called green screen wizard . I'm sure that I could do it PP some how but loads of work I think .

You can use background eraser in CS3/4 as a cheaper alternative. This will pretty much remove the chromakey background.

Load image into CS3/4
Drag the main layer onto the new layer button which duplicates it as a normal layer.
Delete the original layer.
Select background eraser.
Run around the edge doing a small piece at a time.
Select normal eraser and run around the rest.
Select history brush and run around the parts that have inadvertently become see through.

This is ONE method, it is very quick and easy and my preferred method for a simple cut and can even handle hair etc. There are lots of other ways too. If you do a search I did a detailed explanation of how to cut a model out...

Are the chromakey backgrounds that much easier to remove than white ones? Especially if you don't have CS 3/4

Well yes, there are software packages to automate it and you can even use "select colour range". I depends on your software.
