Does anyone know how to get rid of Chrome's intensely annoying 'Ask anything' box. It's too big and is always obscuring whatever it is you're trying to read.:mad:

I've tried a few methods but none of them worked. :headbang:

PS. Some folk suggest using the uBlock Origin add-in but it seems they've removed the element zapper (which would have worked).

Try this go to chrome://flags/ and DISABLE the following:

lens-overlay-optimization-filter
(removes the annoying "Ask Google" button from the search bar)

lens-overlay-non-blocking-privacy-notice
(removes AI suggestions after right-clicking to search with Google lens)

omnibox-contextual-suggestions
(removes "Ask Google About this Page" when the search bar is selected)

omnibox-contextual-search-on-focus-suggestions

Yes, that works for the search bar etc., but it doesn't get rid of the enormous 'Ask anything' box.

Box still there 450.jpg

There will inevitably be a flag for it. My info may well be applicable to an older version of Chrome. Sigh

It is only displayed with the AI responses and it disappears when you scroll down the screen, so I don't understand what your problem is.
