Circular banding

Anyone seen anything like this before?



24-70L with a UV filter on the front. Long exposure.

or maybe your filter causing it perhaps due to angle of light on long exposures? :shrug:

It looks like some sort of time warp or wormhole. It only seems to appear on my long exposures. I might try again without the filter.

It's just a cheap Hoya UV filter.

Kay, it can't be a good idea to put a cheapo UV filter on such a wonderful bit of glass. That's a bit like buying a Ferrari and filling it with 2 star!

try it without the filter...it looks like fresnel screen bands

True. I usually leave them off but it was raining that night lol. Normally the hood is fine but I didn't have cloth to clean the lens
