Circular Polariser with Lens Hood

Hi,

For me to use one single polariser with a number of different lenses using step up rings I would need to remove the lens hoods on some.

Does anyone see this as a problem or should I simply stop being a cheap skate and buy a number of correctly sized filters.

Wouldn't it be difficult to adjust the CPL with the hood on anyway?

FWIW I never use a hood when I'm using filters.
 
if you wanting to attach a 82mm filter and hood to your 50mm f1.8 nikkor lens to make it look super special :).you might just block out your focus assist
 
Hi. I'd imagine you only have a couple of lenses you'd use a cpl on? I have one that fits a couple that have the same dia and another that fits my 50mm. I find cpl awkward to turn with the lens hood on, though.

It can be a struggle but can just about reach with a stretched index finger. Think I'll try your method.

Just trying to hang a 77mm filter on a 67mm thread at the mo. My camera (D3100) already looks daft with its Nikon 17-55 stuck on the front.
