CITI600 Manual Twin Kit

Good choice Dan, the manual version is great value

Suggest swap out those standard softboxes for something quick-folding, and if you use a low-profile mount adapter like this, and fit it inside facing out, it effectively repositions the flash tube a couple of cms further forward for half a stop extra brightness and (in theory) slightly better light distribution https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EYJOPPS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The best trigger for you/Leica is probably the ST-iii with the pass-through hot shoe, though the ECO2.4 is a neat and much nicer to use manual-only trigger, if not the new ST-iv.

thanks

it said the ST-iii was free, then it added the ECO 2.4 to the basket instead (still free) - and I was going to get it changed, but then i decided just to go with it :)

Sweet :)

Not sure how familiar you are with this kind of kit Dan. Massive potential. Could open up a whole new level of creative opportunity, interested to see how you get on

I know the potential of HSS for day time portraits which I hope to play around with.
Other than that I've got lots to learn about what works and what doesn't...

This isn't HSS, it's a leaf shutter, but my artificial light work is few and far between
