Class 6 SDHC card enough for HD video on compact camera?

Would a class 6 SDHC card be fast enough to be be used to record HD video on a compact camera, or would I be better off with a class 10? (Using a Samsung WB500 camera).

Class 6 is fast enough for recording full HD on my 550D so it should be ok for your compact :)

I was going to buy a Transcend card but if you look on Amazon there are a few too many negative reviews that talk of card failure. I cant take that risk with my pictures & video so I stick with Sandisk. Just something I thought you should be aware of.
