Hi all,

Does anyone have any ideas how to clean a Nikon V1 sensor? I tried using 14mm swabs, and whilst these are good, they just seem just a tad too big. I then tried those little things which look like cotton buds by just putting some eclipse on it but these just leave streak marks.
Any idea's what I can use to clean my V1 sensor?

Thanks all!

SensorKlean? The little LensPen thing. I know some people make their own swabs with credit cards cut to size and a suitable swab material. Thankfully, my V1 sensor's still spotless but I know the time will come when it needs doing!

I use a Lenspen SensorKlear - which has a small triangle shape cleaning head - about 6-8mm I think...

Can measure it if it would be of help...

Several years ago, I wet cleaned my D200's sensor and managed to streak oily marks across it and repeated wet swabs didn't clear them. TBH, I thought I'd Cobraed it and that the streaks were scratches. I then discovered the SensorKlear and one quick session with that cleared the smear away completely (:hugesighofrelief!:)

Thanks! Ordered :). Will this be able to get rid of the streak marks as well?

Thanks
John.

Hopefully, seems Nods had success with removing streaks - I've not done any wet clean so not had issues with streaks, but fingers crossed it'll remove them.
