Cleaning Sensors

Yes
When cleaning the sensor on my 5d3, I got most of the spots off which had accumulated.

But there is still one which I cannot actually see.

When I look at a photo taken the spot is towards the top right corner of the photo.

Looking down at the sensor, where would this spot be likely to be ? - the lenses are clean so its not on them, and the mirror also seems clear.

If i have my physics right the image is reversed when passing through a lens. So something top right on the photo equals bottom left on the sensor.

Mind you it is many many years since I studied the subject. No doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong.

What he says!

There was a discussion about this on here some time ago..... I could not believe how many different opinions there were, most neglecting the characteristics and Physics of lenses!

You have all the necessary gear to answer your question experimentally. Use your detached lens to focus an image of your bright window onto a piece of paper. Experimental verfication which you can play with until it makes memorable sense!
