The photos were taken fairly recently. It is the closest landmark to my home and will be visited regularly during my PhD (starting tomorrow :))

The following 2 have been tweaked a little, but are pretty close to reality as it were

I am planning to do some misty morning shots, a few with yellow and red trees, maybe some stunning sunset (I always walk the dog when I should be there) and when it snows.

Any suggestion and comments would be appreciated.

great work there

no9 did you set out for that knowing there was lightening, pretty awesome shot

No, I was on the way home when the storm appeared out of nowhere and I had only 70-200mm with me. This is taken 3 minutes before a violent hailstorm - I had to run for a shelter (the lens didn't get wet, nor did I)

nice set - particularly drawn to 1 - nice black and white treatment.
As a local its a very familiar scene and set of images...

Have to say number 6 gets my vote - really like it! Liking the fact that the houses lead you to the bridge! Lovely composition!

Great shots of a landmark from my home city.

Love 8 for the inclusion of the Observatory and the fact that most shots are taken from the other side of the bridge.

9 and 10 are great.

A very good set. Im planning to photograph all around there too. I was tempted to go last night on the way back from Portishead, but my partner ( taxi for the evening:D) was keen to get back after a long day at work.
I might pop up tonight or tomorrow.
I prefer 1, 2 and 6 out of them all.

Could you tell me which location you took 6 and 8 from? I've been looking to try and get some shots of the bridge for ages now but haven't got around to doing it,

Some great shots #6 and #10 for me.

I was there for the Balloon Fiesta launch this year (twice). I'm gutted I missed this launch - I've never seen that many balloons so close to the bridge before... good job ! Will try again next year

6 was taken near A3029 bridge in Hotwells (next to Brunel lock)
8 - from the bridge itself (it is rather obvious)

Sorry, I meant 6 and 9

All great captures, especially #9 and 10 but the one with the lightning is terrific:)

1st shot is my fave, those clouds look amazing and the comp is cracking :)
