Just wondered if anyone on here uses Clikpic for there website, if so any opinions or feedback would be appreciated on how good or bad they are :)

Not Clikpic but I have used Photium, who are absolutely superb in every way. I only left to go to Bludomain as I wanted a flash based site.

I Use clikpic & cant fault it, I have never used any other to compare, but, yeah they work for me!

I know there are people on here who don't care for Clickpic but I've had a site with them for 3 years and I can't really fault them. Excellent support, cheap to run and simple to maintain.

I wanted a flash based site.

Thanks for the replies chaps, i haven't a clue when it comes to this sort of thing, so just trying to gauge what their all about.

Dman what is a flash based site ? and what are the difference's in this and any other sort, many thanks :)

Click on the examples for what they do, you need hosting with them as well though so it's a bit outlay but then you only pay the $100 hosting per year. It works out cheaper for me though as I was on the £16.80 a month package with Photium.

I'm using the Liam template.

Sorry to bring up and old thread but, but whats the initial outlay all in (bearing in mind i have my own domain name already through 123 REG) as i can't see the prices on their site, and who else here uses Bludomain, many thanks.

DON'T USE FLASH.
While it does look lovely, it can loose you many customers.

I just responded to your PM with this very same warning, TG. Although my Bludomain site looks much better than my old Photium one, I've seen a huge decrease in enquiries and bookings due to my Google ranking going well down. I'm having a real debate with myself at the moment about whether to cut my losses and go back to my Photium site for the time being, although I'm tempted by a CMD site, as they also provide a html mirror site I believe.

Thanks guys, Dave just PMed you back without seeing this first, always a dilemma when you only just know enough to find your way around these sort of things, bluedomain indeed look very impressive, but if they don't work so well  decisions decisions :D

If you're doing a site, go for the one which is easiest to navigate and looks best with your photos. that's what really matters :)

Thanks George, imput very much appreciated
