I have an Alienware 17 R2 laptop with 125GB SDD and 1 TB HDD, and the SDD is giving warnings of being almost full.
I intend to replace the 125GB SDD with a Samsung M2 (Model Samsung 500GB 850 EVO M.2 SSD), to clone the original 125gb to the new drive, then re-use the 125 gb drive in one of the other three slots on the machine. It seems that I can plug the new drive alongside the old drive, clone it, then swap the two over and all will work normally??????? Does anyone have experience of this?
Also with regard to cloning software, I think the Samsung comes with cloning software, but I could also consider Acronis True Image, about £17 from eBuyer, as an alternative - again, anyone used either or both?
The laptop runs Windows 10 and I know some of the older versions of TI do not work with Win 10.
Any advice would be appreciated, Thank you.
