Hello

Just a quick bit of info needed. I have been reading the macro tutorial and was impressed with the shots taken using the canon 500d 'close up lens'

it would be a cheap starting point for us but i read its suitable for 70mm lenses.

I have a canon eos 450 d with the standard kit lens (efs 18-55 is) and would like some close up lenses. ive had a quick look about but not really found anything and to be honest not sure what i should be looking for anyway.

Could you recommend a site with the correct lenses for my current kit. any advice welcomed. dont mind using ebay etc but need to know whats good and whats not.

The 250D is designed for shorter focal length lenses.
 
Hi Dave,

If you are after a dedicated macro lens then i can highly recommend the Sigma 105 macro which you could pick up for about £200-£220 in the classifieds. If it's extension tubes you're after then i'm afraid i don't know much about them.

just looking at some filters for now to try as we are just starting out and need other bits and bobs.
