hi, I've just bought a 240 & a 450 canon close-up lens that fit like filters on the end of a lens, I think these are the predecessors or the current 250d & 500d close-up lenses. I bought them on e-bay but haven't received them yet. but I have some doubt about their compatability mainly because of was how few other bidders there was, and how cheaply i won them, having won one for £2 and the other for £9, I'm assuming being made by Canon they will fit my 70-300 usm's threads but I don't know for sure, also I am unsure whether the optics are different between lens glass for digital and non-digital as lots of filters I see advertised say for digital cameras. So my question is, will they work on my 550d with a 70-300 usm lens. Thanks in advance for any advise you can give me.
