Close Up Tulip

What does anyone think to this ? I was experimenting with a couple of off camera flashes yesterday, this was the one I liked the most.

like the light /shade on it good work, not sure about the green bit at the bottom its a bit distracting and seperate.

maybe PP it out and slight crop on the bottom?

hope you dont mind me tinkering?

No of course I dont....and yep - it makes a big improvement - thanks. I look at them for so long I miss the obvious stuff !!

Hmmm well I'm biased because tulips are my favourite flower, so it's lovely

If you want a more interesting tulip look out for one called 'parrot' (honest!) the petals are more crinkly and have more depth.

I would loose the other leaf as well, and I think it would look better with a black background. Still a lovely shot though.
