Clubtail emergence #2

A partly emerged common clubtail dragonfly - the insect has to wait at this point for its legs to harden before it can pull the rest of the abdomen out of the larval case.

This was taken below the railway viaduct over the Thames at Goring.

Nice. Focus where it matters, simple effective composition, pity the colours weren't stronger but that's being picky
