Nice work, never used a monopod. I could never see the advantage of them. How are you finding it?

thanks

the monopod's great, wish I'd used one ages ago

doubles up as walking stick as well, cant imagine particularly long exposures are possible but makes a good job of steadying the camera

Clumber Park is my back garden so it always nice to see someone else's view of it.

Know that place well and you've captured it superbly.!

It's a nice pic but I am wondering why you used ISO 800 on such a bright day? Shutter speed was 1/500, base ISO 200 would have given 1/125 which is more than fast enough at that focal length.

Didnt realise I had ! Doh !

moving the horizon up and down will give you two shots...one as a skyscape
and one as a landscape
i used monopods with success and i think they are quite practical
cheers
