CMS for a product Catalogue

which software is good for making a product catalogue and info site? Ive got a good understanding of Joomla, but im struggling a little with the categories/sections aspect, i dont want a list like it gives me, i want a table of thumbnails, i can make a page with html to use as an index page but its not really what i want to do...

anyone got any suggestions?

Zen cart can be configured to give a catalog, instead of an online sho

Fairly easy to customise as well, with the added benefit that you can change to a shop, if the need ever arises

ive got virtuamart, im not very familiar with it though, i may install and have a fiddle about. Zencart ive tried and didnt feel comfortable with it, keep the suggestions coming though!

Theres a free php package called oscommerce. You looked into that?
