Cokin filter sets

Ill be intrested in any replies as well Andy, as I have the Cokin holders and one or two filters I am playing with, from what I have read in the past you get what you pay for sort of thing!
 
I was always advised not to go for cokin as they have a slight colour cast to them.
 
The link to fleabay shows filters to fit a Cokin filter holder, not actual Cokin made filters. Which means they may not have the colour cast of the gen artical and be good value, on the other hand !!!!!!:thinking: If you do get these post up your thoughts and results I could be tempted to follow you. ;)
 
I used to use Cokin. I never noticed a cast but even if they do produce one it's not a big deal to correct it anyway. After all - how many landscape photographs (which is the main use for the grads) are left with no alterations to colours in processing?
 
I used to have quite a few Cokins, including the NDs and ND grads. For the money they were ok, but yes they did often have a colour cast. Not to hard to fix, but a pain nonetheless.
 
they have a basic grad set available on warehouse express (where I got mine).
then its just a case of getting the right adaptive ring.

there is a slight purple colour cast in them but for it to be really noticable you have to stick 3 grads in front of one another.

the main problem you want to watch for is scratching them.
