Great shots from a great venue. Can you post a 100% unprocessed crop of one of the tigers please - just want to see how those crazy iso speeds did for noise!

How do I do that

open the file, convert to jpeg and crop an area 1024x800 then upload it to flickr.

Processed:

I reopened the RAW file, then cropped it from that before converting into JPEG:

Nice photo's Andy. I love the owl one (13) where its looking right at the camera. It really catches its amazing eyes. Not sure if its ever so slightly out of focus though, or if I just need to clean my specs!

I haven't been to Colchester Zoo for years, but once I get my hands on a new camera I'm sure I'll be visiting it more.

13 is slightly out of focus on the face :( wish I noticed that sooner :(

we're having a meet on 1st Feb if you're free (y)

Just seen the thread about the meet. I can't make this one, but I'll try and join some others later in the year.

Quite a few of them are looking a bit soft to me Andy :(

What lens were you using? maybe include some exif data too?

exif's are intact from flickr...on here they're blocked.....dunno why

was using Sigma 100-300mm f4

Cheers for that. I've looked at them again on flickr. I wonder if they'd been sharper if you'd used the lens at its sweet spot instead?

There's a sweet spot!

Andy is that cheetah really a leopard in disguise?

Looks like you had a good, and I sat here on me butt all day apart from going out for a paper.

Nice set though, the tiger looks an amazing animal. Beautiful.

Nice Set Andy love #10 Looks like something out of Jurassic Park

#4 is really excellent nice eye contact on the Tiger, that makes it stand out from the other Tiger shots:)

A proper Cheetah (not a Leopard)

I love Cheetahs, my favourite big cat. Beautiful. Nice one Andy.

Hopefully I can get some really nice shots in Feb.

It was a good job you went yesterday and not today, with this lousy weather.
