Colour difference between Photoshop and print preview

I use Photoshop 7, a 32" Apple cinema display and an Epson stylus photo 1400 printer. Until recently, what I saw on screen is what came out of the printer. Now, when I view a golden chestnut horse in photoshop and bring up the print preview, the horse has a definite red tinge and this is what is printed.
I have not knowingly changed anything.
Settings are:
Colour management - ICM
ICM mode - Driver ICM (Basic)
Input profile - Adobe RGB (1998)
Intent - Perceptual
Printer profile - Epson standard
Printer profile description - SP 1400 1410 Epson PGPP
Can anyone help, or suggest a "man who knows" who is near to Anglesey?

This may seem stupid but have you profiled and calibrated the monitor recently?

Also have you tried soft proofing

Hi John. Thank you for your response. I have not calibrated the monitor recently, but may have inadvertently changed one of the settings.

One of the options I have is to obviously delete the monitor, printer and photoshop from my system and then reload them. At least that will return everything to the manufacturers settings.

Perhaps you could explain what you mean by soft proofing, and how I achieve that.

Thanks again.
