Colour or Mono

Hey, Just thought I'd post this one (or two even) I've been doing loads of monos recently but I'm just interseted to see what the general consensus is, Colour or Mono (it'd be good if I knew how to do a vote)

Id say the colour but then I love the mono too...

one thing I dont like though is the vapour trail.. looks like a scratch?

Mono for sure. The sky works really well in mono, and the foreground gains impact in mono as well. So yes, mono gets my vote

They both have their plus points here, and I'm a real fan of mono,

but,

For me, it has to be the colour version !

Cant quite put my finger on it, but thats the one I prefer

I've sussed it, the front of the building is too light for the mono to work.

Thats my opinion and I'm sticking to it

Mono definitely. Great contrast in the shadow cast on the front of the building/outhouse/bomb shelter (Hello MI6 readers if you're watching this thread now ). Wonderful black sky on the left fading to white on the right with all the cloud detail intact. Great texture in the contrasty foreground. Detail in the shadow on the back of the building. B&W all the way for me.

Only one criticism - you should clone that plane trail out and that's a great photo.

Thanks everyone, some nice comments, looks like mono just shades it, pardon the pun.

I like to try get monos when I haven't got up early enough for the 'golden light'

I'll get onto the vapour trail, damn planes :razz:
