Hi. Following the article/guide in DigitalPhoto, i've been playing with popping colour in photos. Its mainly been with my bikes as the colours are quite strong and i think they look good in the black and white photo.
The problem i have is the sky on this one is washed out, there basically isn't one:thinking:

I've basically followed the instructions in the magazine, but didn't do the 2nd layer (contrast) as it looked too dark/heavy. Is this the only way to rescue the sky?

Cheers for any help.

Jack

Looks like there wasn't much of a sky to begin with. It was quite washed out anyway. You could try a contrast layer or try just lasso'ing and feathering the sky and using the Levels tool to bring out some of the sky? This is all before you convert the image to B&W by the way.

Hi, MikeeB, cheers for that, i think i've got a guide on how to do that somewhere, i'll have a play and repost it when i'm happy(y)
