Hi all Im not clever that is for sure can somebody help have Nikon D70 have one Brown Labrador one Black Labrador one Yellow yes one of each cannot get good picture of them together the effect is awful Yellow one OK other two awful what am I doing wrong ?

I suspect the darker animals are coming out too dark. Labs and other similar dark coated animals have coats that tend to absorb light and reflect very little. The yellow lab on the other hand has a more natural look.
Not sure the best way to overcome this. Increasing the overall exposure will help the darker dogs but will tend to blow out the yellow one.One answer may be to make two exposures and blend them in photoshop or similar. Maybe an HDR technique may work as well.
