Combi UV/CP filters - any good?

I need to buy a UV and a CP for both the lenses I own. After looking around I came across a Hoya "combi" filter that does both jobs. Has anyone any experience of these, and if so, are they any good please?
 
Not sure if this helps you out but - I asked the same a little while ago link.... On this filter Hoya HRT with this review..
 
As modern DSLRs come with a built in UV filter most people only use a UV filter for protection so I would say don't bother and just get decent CP filters.
 
Thanks guys. Not sure I'm comfortable leaving the end of my lens unprotected though!

Your not the only one.... I've filters on my lenses - for piece of mind really as I can take them off if I need to.

Some people do have them on & some don't & say that its another piece of glass to focus thru...

I put it down to personal preference really - puts my mind at rest (esp on -/+£1700 worth of lenses)
