Comedy Wildlife Awards

A really great set of shots - very much a case of perseverance and timing to get them.
 
What a great set....all made me smile but the Greenfinches one with the juvenile's outstretched wing made me chuckle.

Yup for sure and the appropriate (in the main low) PoV makes that crucial moment of capture all the more outstanding:)

It's clear that although there is always degree of 'luck' in the animals creating the particular poses, these are also the result of people who are studying the animals, and anticipating that 'something' might happen, so they they end up in the right place at the right time.
There's a link on the BBC page to the full list of finalists (the BBC just gave a selection), even more great shots, the judges are going to have a difficult time selecting a single overall winner!
There's also a Peoples Choice award, where you can vote for your favourite, with a chance to win £500 cash :)
