Carrying 2K around your neck is heavy and the standard strap offers **** all in the way of comfort.

Any recommendations?
 
Have you won the lottery or something??

Optech pro is my choice. Or if you fancy a sling type, the black rapid RS4.
You can turn the Optech into a sling type with a seperate atachment .
 
Just google the black rapid
 
Yes I found black rapid and optech but wondered if any more came out of the woodwork ..

Black rapid seems good but expensive and which one to choose?!?

I've got both - the Optech Pro and a BR RS-7. The Black Rapid strap is far superior to the Optech in both build and comfort, but it's more than three times the price, so if there's a budget issue the the Optech is worth a look.
 
I sold the black rapid to buy the optech, just to confuse you even more.
 
+1 for OpTech, after using one for several years on a 40D it was the first thing ordered for the RB67 (well over 2kg).
 
blimey .. its the rs4 .. that seems alright .. not sure on which optech one is equivalent though :S
 
Optech pro, with the sling kit adapter if you want to make it a sling. Hence why I said that in my first post.
 
from peoples experience which is more comfortable if i was carrying a rucksack also .. a neck job or a sling?

baring in mind when im done snapping it can go back in the sack to carry
 
I had the blackrapid and went to an optech, i personally find the optech more comfortable and easier to wear than the black rapid, especially with a rucksack. I had the rs-6 (ithink) the one with the pockets and i found it made the strap to big and bulky.

The search is an amazing thing though, you will find a million threads on straps, tripods, 24-70 or 24-105, 7d or 5d2....... ;)
 
I just got one of the RS Sports today from BlackRapid, I had a Sunsniper strap but the BlackRapid is much more comfortable, has an extra strap that goes under your armpit that stops the strap pulling into your neck.

i have a dual one which i have had for a year, and i carry 2xd300 with a sigma 50-500mm os on 1 and an 18-200mm nikon on the other or a 70-200mm nikon f2.8 and never had a problem.

my worry is as ill always have my packpack on me .. i could use the canon strap for 20 mins and then put it back into the bag .. no need for a big strap ..

It was a bit tongue in cheek but I am always wary of cheap copies. Never quite sure of the materials used. But if you are happy then that's fine :)
