common carp

hi all, was down at the local gravel pit today fishing when this carp came through the swim so grabbed my camera quickly and got this shot, not sure if it works or not so any c&c more then welcome.

Well rob, i like it.

I think its got a slight vintage quality about it with the golden tones of the gravel bottom. Looks like it could adorn a vintage Mr crabtree book!

Lovely looking common too, was it teasing you? I had a big shoal of crucian's spawning in front of me last month... Not interested in feeding at all.

thanks jonathan . yes i know exactly what your saying about about spawning and not feeding, i think this recent weather is not helping either.

I've tried that technique when I've been sat with not so much as a bite..... They don't hang around for you to slip the net under them.... Sadly
