Greetings and salutations, talkphotography community!

Exciting to see that you are also using XenForo for your forum software, as are we. I am the Community Manager at DPReview.com. I'm still relatively new to the team and have been focused on taking care of our internal community.

With our recent update to the forums out of the way, I've been able to spend more time talking to communities, like yours here, to get to know them. It looks like you have a really interesting community here with a lot of great sub-forums to choose from. Love that you're also running regular photo challenges. We're looking to expand upon ours with some more casual weekly photo events.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello for now, and hope all is well!

Hi Matthew, welcome to TP, I hope you'll dip in from time to time to contribute to discussion or maybe share images. You're welcome to join our challenges too!
Although I've personally never really dipped into DP Review, it is often referenced by members of this site when talking about equipment or reviews. Hopefully a symbiosis that allows both sites to prosper.
In case you hadn't sussed it out, myself and @sirch (Chris) are the co-owners of TP; we did have a third partner known as Cobra, but he sadly died a couple of years ago. We took it over 5 years ago after the previous owner retired.
We have a great team of Moderators on the site, who, as I'm sure you realise from your own site, are the ones that keep everything going successfully.
Photography does seem to survive as an activity, both pro and amateur, despite the doom-mongers regularly predicting its demise. Long may that continue to be the case.

Thanks, @lindsay. I would like to, though I don't want to be a pest or anything, since I do have my own forums to take care of, I should be over there most of the time :).

Hi @sirch, nice to meet you. I'm sorry to hear about your other partner :(.

100%, the moderators help make it all work. I am grateful for having our volunteers helping out, though we always need more folks in the mix it seems.

Speaking of symbiosis, I've worked in other industries where my team collaborated with "fan sites" and other third-party sites, just like yours, on another site with a great fan base of photography enthusiasts. I could see us collaborating on perhaps a contest, challenge, or something like that in the future if you're all interested in trying something new.

Quick question, how did you get the "OP" label on the avatar for thread starters? I would love to see if I can get that implemented on our forums, it's a great feature (one our community has requested, but I've struggled in figuring it out).
