Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows a good way of setting up a local town visitors website..

Would like to have a blog, gallery, links page etc...

Was thinking of using something like wordpress or blogger ??

Any recommendations and examples...

I'm actually doing something similar at the moment, based on Wordpress...

Just noticed Wordpress can add plugins..

Any recommendations for gallery, links, directory etc plugins

Links - Wordpress already has some functionality built in

Gallery - nextGEN gallery, depending on what you want to do with it

Directory - WP Business Directory manager

I've also got:

Ad-minister - for advertising (if needed)

Contact Form 7 - Good for contact forms

WP About Author - Handy if you're having guest writers or anything like that

Another Wordpress Classifieds Plugin (AWPCP) - Pretty much self explanatory

Plus Akismet as well
