Compact advice Panasonic?

I'm after a new compact for the mrs around £200 that shoots video as well. She currently has a canon ixus 800is thats a little long in the tooth and shoots video at quite a low res.

I'd like one for her snap shots and that videos at a HD resolution. I'm looking currently at the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 and was wondering if there is anything else I should look at?

TZ8 is the same as TZ10 but without the GPS. I had a TZ6 which i thought was brilliant! I'd go for the TZ8 for that budget or a Canon s90 if you can push a little further. Or a used LX3.

before you disappear the '10' has a 3" screen and the '8' a 2.7"

tz10 records 720p HD Video in the AVCHD, for most of us this means just that if you end up with a Panasonic TV with an SD card slot you can play video & pics, where as the TZ8 is 720p but will only playback the Pics. (i downgrade all my video clips in iMovie so makes no difference to me)

Also no HDMI out on the TZ8.

How about the TZ9? Isn't that the TZ10 without gps? I have a TZ8 too and its a nice little compact, I'd imagine the 9 can only be an improvement on that.

TZ9 is a special for Currys (maybe some others E.G. Dixons).

Basically a cut down TZ10 - missing GPS and AVCHD and few other bits.

When I was looking a week ago, I could get the TZ10 for the same price, if not a little cheaper so I can't really see the point.
