Compact advise

I am getting married in 5 weeks and going on honeymoon to Mauritius, I was planning on taking my DSLR but after some thinking I have decided I will leave it home and take something less inconspicuous, my question is for advise on a great compact.

I am looking at the canon g12 and the Nikon p7100, as I want the control of a DSLR but in a compact. Does anyone have experience of using either or both or is there another alternate I should consider?

Budget is £400ish.

Fuji X10 is a good alternative (assuming you don't want m4/3)

I had thought about it but I probably won't use it much after honeymoon but give it to the wife so compact is the way to go, already have a lumix tz7 but that's just not good enough.

I've had a G12 for a couple of months and i'm very impressed with it - tend to take it on family days out rather than the 5d2. Will be taking it to Egypt in a underwater housing for some snookering shots later this year.
