I am buying a camera hopefully in the next few days, have done some research but I can't find exactly what I'm looking for, so thought this seemed like the perfect site to ask on.
Basically I am after a small pocket camera, but want to be able some ok shots on it. I realise it won't be brilliant in comparison to a DSLR, but that will have to wait a few years (had my eye on the Canon 650D when it came out a while ago).
I've been looking around, and think I've narrowed it down to two, the Canon S110 and the Panasonic DMC-TZ40, I had been looking at the LX7 but found it too big for this purpose, and the Nikon S9500 but have been recommended the Panasonic over it.
Has any one either had both, or anyone have some photo's they can share of them? I want to know how much better the Canon is for non zoom shots, how they both perform in low light/night shots, and also at maximum zoom how much quality is lost.
I like the idea of a decent zoom, but not if every photo looks awful when using it.
