Yes
I used to have GPS on my D300 and D90 cameras - now these are long since gone after going to the GX1. I miss the GPS capability and wondered if anyone can recommend a compact with GPS built in?

I suspect it didn't take off as much as it could have done as it sucks battery power - but if you use iPhoto / Aperture it works really well.

Any thoughts?

I'd have to go for the Canon S100. I can't think of anything compact that comes close.

My wife's Fuji F600 has GPS built in, and certain seems like a decent camera, not too impressed with the video though.

As far as I know, any Sony compact with "V" on the end.. HX9V, HX10V, HX20V, etc.

I always keep it turned off on my HX20V to prolong battery life.

In the price bracket I think you're looking in, the Lumix TZ series or Canon SX series would be my choice. I think the SX230 HS or the TZ20 are around the £190-200 mark.

I have the Panasonic DMC-TZ20

great camera
