compact flash card problem

hi all, im using a compact flash car with my sony.

everytime i upload new photos to my laptop it uploads photos from almost a year ago that i have deleted aswell as the shots from that day.

i delete them after importing by ticking the box when uploading.
then i check on the camera it says "no photos to display".

is it my card on the way out or a software propblem.
has anyone else had this ?

Try formatting the card in the camera after you have transferred the files.

Just like computers, memory cards have files systems, folders, etc. When you use your camera to format a card, it sets the card up the way the camera needs it to be in order to function properly.
