Anyone any idea why my comp wont recognise my flash reader. Its brand new and the first time I used it it was fine. This is only the second time I've gone to use it. The reader itself is lighting up so theres power to it. I've tried different usb ports and using the wee cable that came with it but to no avail. Any suggestions? Its a jessops all in one reader.

Turn it off and on again? With the reader attached.
Then again without it attached then re-attach the reader and see if Windows picks it up...?

Could be a number of things, not least of which is that Jessops readers aren't as good as Sandisk ones in my experience...

I have four different readers, which will work in either my desktop pc, or two laptops. But none of them will work in all three. They are cheap multi-card devices. I get lights, like you have, but no drive letter appearing.

I have a further two readers which will work in all three. One is a Sandisk CF which works in everything, and the other an old Lexar PCMCIA which takes CF adapters (or other card adapters too I suppose), but needs a driver installing. I'd tend to stick with Sandisk in future.
