:help: I'm planning to buy a canon 400d this week and I'm looking for a compact flash memory card. There are so many to choose from. What's the difference apart from price between for e.g a Sony 4gb costing £36 and Integral 4gb costing £17.
 
My advice would be go for a well known brand like SanDisk, Sony etc - cheaper brands will likely not be as fast to read/write which can be a pain if you delete on the fly a lot - they're also much slower to download. If you can, go for the Extreme 3 or 4 versions for greatest speed.
Many pro's don't go for more than 2 gb because if you lose 4gb of data from one card, it's all gone! Not something to scrimp on I'm afraid!
 
The sandisk extreme 3 is less than £20 on play.com and 7dayshop.com, although you have to pay £3.95 P&P on 7dayshop
 
I got my 2gb sandisk extream3 from Play.com this weekend. Think it was 15 inc delivery. It was the cheapest i could find anywhere. Mobymemory is another good placeto look.
