Hi guys any first hand good experience and ideas for a compact for the wife for around £300? Tried to convince her to get a little dlsr but she is adamant on a compact although she might stretch to a small bridge. Ideas would be great. Thanks
The answers are the same as we give every day for the same request: Fujifilm XQ2 or X30 if you can find them, Sony RX100 I or II, Panasonic LX100 if you can find a used one.
My wife uses a Panasonic TZ70. She takes it everywhere and says she needs nothing more. Her pictures are always sharp and well exposed. It's more reliable than its main competitor, the Sony HX90. I know this for a fact as my wife has owned hers much longer than I've owned the Sony and hers has never broken down, whereas my Sony is currently away having its lens fixed.
