Compact for Travelling

Hi all,
Mate of mine is going travelling round Thailand and se Asia . He wants a compact cam and has a budget of £150. Recommendations would be appreciated!

Although I don't have one, I considered the Fuji F*** series when I was buying my (travel) compact. The Fuji F550 falls into your budget, and handily has GPS which could come in handy whilst travelling. You can turn the GPS off, as you can do with any GPS equipped camera, but if you do use GPS regularly, budget for extra batteries.

You should budget for extra batteries anyway if you're planning to travel.

The Panasonic TZ series are very good cameras too, but they are slightly above your budget.

Thanks for that- will check it out- did see Jessops have the tz25 for around £135 with cashback! Seems like a good deal
