Going for a few nights away next week to the new forest and also going to Longleat so looking for a compact superzoom to capture far away animals etc.

I currently have an S100 but finding the zoom quite limiting, this will come in to play a lot, especially at Longleat. Last time I went I was using the 200mm end of my D60 and 55-200 quite often.

So was looking in to getting a HX20V or TZ30 or 260HS.

Anyone got/used any of the above or recommend any alternatives for around that price bracket.

I have the hx20v. The zoom is great but you do pay for it in terms of IQ.

I'll take a shot today of some wildlife if I can and upload it so you can see.

I don't know what it's like against it's competitors but you'll be at ISO 1600 mostly if i'm guessing the scene right and it's not great when cropped at frankly any ISO!

Having said that, I love mine haha.

Sample pics would be grand! Hoping the weather will be nice so outdoors I should be looking at lower ISO settings.
