Compact tripod for occasional use?

I now have camera (Canon 40d) and bag (lowepro slingshot 202aw) and now looking to get a tripod.

  • Budget around £60-70
  • Not expected to use it alot but would like to have one for just in case moments (hence strapped to the bag)

I like the idea of the gorilla pod! (i'm a product desiger by trade :lol:) but doesn't give the height if needed for lanscapes or nothing to attach the gorilla pod too.

Help!

For that price range you can look at the Redsnappers. Or if you want something really compact you can check the Velbon Mini range.
