Complete beginner

Hi guys new to the forum and complete beginner, hope you dont mind me asking a question.

I just bought an Olympus E450 DSLR however i did not realise i had to buy a memory car right away. Is there anyway of saving pics to the cameras memory in the mean time untill i get a card?

I don't think so.

Not sure about that camera but you might, if you have one, be able to tether it to a notebook or a laptop and take photos straight on to your hard drive.

As far as I know there isn't.

If funds are low even a 2GB card will do for now!

Even if it does have built in memory (and I've had a quick google and it's not mentioned anywhere) it's probably not enough even to store a handful of photos.

Have a look here, you should be able to get a 4GB card for about a tenner.

No, there is no internal memory on any Olympus E system camera, you're goingto have to get hold of some.

It's rather annoying because even without a memory card the camera still functions and only tells you theres no memory card after the image has been taken - it even reviews it on the screen after taking it!

Nikons do that as well, but there is an option to switch it off. It's so they don't have to stick memory cards in the ones they use for demoing in shops.
