Yes
I managed to take some pictures of guys and like to make them kinda gritty, deep contrast and so on.
But this technique doesn't seem appropriate for women as it picks up all the wrinkles and so on.

I only have one light but a refelctor as well. Plus the ambient.

One light is doable if it's big enough and close enough.
If you place the light from a large softbox as close as possible and (say) fairly high and to 1 side, with the reflector in the opposite position to pick up spare light and bounce it back that's about as far as you can go.
Then you just play with the healing brush...

....or just try window light and a reflector.

I use my soft focus lens for the ladies you can get a soft focus filter, but they just blur the shot.

I have taken a few shots of my son with his Gran but she wouldnt let me put them on the web as they made her look old ...... um ...... i didnt want to tell her.

I dont think there is anything you can do, youre a photographer not a magician.

;) What? Do blokes NOT get any wrinklies? [am shocked to learn this!]:LOL:
