Went to see Kodaline in Glasgow O2 last night, I got stopped at the door... cant take professional Cameras in Mate....
It was a Fuji X-M1 with 16-50 lens ???

Not exactly Professional.....
 
What they really mean when they say "no professional cameras allowed" is "only unprofessional cameras allowed" :)
 
Yip, ... Does the lens come off mate..... Oh you can't take that in...
What a load of....

What do you do with your gear on occasions like this? Do they have somewhere for you to safely store it?
 
They offered to put it in a safe place, aye right, had to walk back to car. Then get back in.
 
Chunky lens = "professional camera" as far as doormen are concerned.

The trick is to take the a skinny 18 or 27mm on the camera, and the 16-50 on its own in the bottom of your bag and hope they don't spot it.
