My son is really getting into photography which is excellent and he’s talked about us going away for a photography weekend.

I was wondering if anyone has done a street photography weekend course abroad or guided photo tour type thing anywhere in Europe and had any recommendations, I was thinking cities mainly but open to suggestions.

Budget is t huge ie so probably talking £100s + accommodation and flights

Many photographers provide photography workshops outside of the UK but these can be at the top end+ of your budget.
What are your interests? Wildlife, street, landscape?
It might be cheaper to find a reputable photographer in your desired location (do your research!) and see what is on offer.
Local street photography workshops e.g. Paris £600+, Venice £900, New York 1-day £500 etc, etc, (excluding travel).
Google [your interest] photography workshops in [your desired location], to get some idea of what is available (good ones get booked well in advance).

Thanks for the reply I’m thinking most likely street photograph (sorry should have clarified). While I am doing research, this was just to see if anyone has real world experience of any workshops

I don't think you are going to get a decent weekend photography workshop for anywhere near £100.

For street it may be worth just looking into London to begin with for a day and see how he gets on. They're are a few people on IG and YouTube who run street photography workshops.

I realise £100 won’t get me far which is why I went £100s (rather than £1000s!). Had considered London/Manchester but thought it might be good opportunity to have a weekend in Europe!

Will have a look at both of those cheers

I have done a day street photography course in London with Matt Hall - meet up at Liverpool Street Station (small group) and wander through the city, all well within budget, and he does 1-to-1 as well. I can certainly recommend him and he does some workshops outside the UK.

Matt Hall Workshops

I'd recommend Amsterdam as a location for Street togging, plenty of interesting people plus architecture and the canals, boats. A Eurostar ride or flight
