Hi guys

Anyone out there able to give me their experiences with CIS on epson printers?

I have an aging but very capable epson photo 950 and it's produced some very detailed prints, but at a cost of over £70 to replace the entire set of carts after the clever people at epson programed it to spit as much of the precious ink out on start up it's getting a bit expensive to run.

The last time I looked at CIS it was well over £100 but now the kits are below £50 if you look around for them. so it might be time to invest as it works out cheaper than a new printer and carts.

I have an Epson R2400 and use a Fotospeed CIS system. Initially I wasn't convinced but having used the system and replenished a full set of inks I'm delighted with the quality of prints on papers with a custom profile used for each.

the lyson stuff is quite good and the guys at marutt (uk distrib) are happy enough to talk you through it and profile papers for you and stuff
