Converting Ballhead to Arca Swiss

Got a Ballhead that I want to convert to Arca Swiss and would like recommendations for a suitable clamp assembly please.

Loads of different ones on Ebay to choose from, but would especially like to hear of any that people here have experience of

I use the Really Right Stuff clamps but they're very expensive for what they are and when compared to clamps sold straight out of China. I try to get them secondhand, though and they always sell again for what I paid, in which case it's irrelevant. What I would say is I much prefer the lever type clamps. They're far quicker and easier to use. Just make sure you know what thread size you have on the ball head, though. They are not all the same and you'll need to match it with the correct thread on any clamp.

It all depends on you existing head and whether or not it will take a clamp. My old manfrotto head had a funny shape stem and wouldn't take a clamp without some sort of extra adapter. In the end I sold it and just bought an arca Swiss type head. Sunwayfoto are great heads from China. Never had any issues and not to expensive.
 
Thanks for the replies, not looking to go down the RRS route, its only a cheapish head for occasional use.
Conversely I much prefer the screw up type, found the lever type needed adjusting for different makes of plates

Head is threaded for a 3/8in machine screw, so just need a clamp with a hole in its base, probably got a suitable screw somewhere

I have bought a couple of Sunwayfoto q/r plates before so that is one possibility, any others please?

Used a newer arca type clamp to convert my Manfrotto Befree and it works well. I only use it with light loads but the Neewer head works perfectly.

Thanks Gareth, had a look at them on Ebay, looked fine and in light of what you said ordered one up
